Winter is gone & there is still such a lot of Cold cream in your tub

Cold cream diy

This can be quite an issue with my friends and women who are minimalistic or frugal. Who think it's not good to waste. So once winter is over the thick cold cream that is left in the tub really gets greasy on our faces. Moral of the story is our skins require different formulations at different times of the year to be in sync with the season.

Once winter is over we have to switch back to a lighter moisturizer. Atleast for the oily-skin sisterhood that's the case. It's sad to see the cold cream get spoilt in the jar. In this blog post I just want to remind there are a few ways to use the remaining cream in a good way. Reminder because I think we have all done it at some point of time but we just forget about it occasionally.

Use it as a replacement of cleansing milk.

Add water or rosewater to the cream. Emulsify it in your palms and then rub it all over your face to cleanse the gunk and grime. Wipe with a wet cotton pad or a clothe towel. The excess oil and dirt is gone and the skin is lightly moisturized. Defer buying the cleansing milk right away

Use it instead of the body oil.

Those of you who swear by the body oil before or after a bath, keep it on the bathroom shelf. Use it just the way you use your body oil. It will surely show the results.

Use it on your elbows and knees.

The elbow, knees and ankles are unusually callused in many bodies. This cream can be a treatment for them on a regular basis. It would feel great to get smooth knees and elbows.

If you think of any other ways to use the cream let me know. Happy to share and be beautiful 💖
